With her art education museum tour guide experience working with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Judith Shupe Walsh founded Art Smart Adventures to make museum visits more fun for the family and children.
Judith Walsh This is Judith Walsh. She's good at lots of things. She's very good with children. She has a great imagination, just like they do.

Mrs. Walsh loves to use her imagination when she plans a trip to the museum. And plan she does. With her two graduate degrees in art history from Columbia University, you wouldn't think she'd have to plan. But she does. Because all children are different, which means each museum trip is personalized and unique.

Mrs. Walsh also knows it's important to come prepared. From art passports to stickers, to hunting supplies and games, she always has something special in her museum bag to make the exploration entertaining.

How did she get to know the art collections so well? Not only does she like to visit them, she's also worked for some pretty amazing museums. Mrs. Walsh has years of experience lecturing to children and adults alike for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Cloisters, The Cleveland Museum of Art. She knows her stuff! In fact, it was her experiences in working with families at these museums that gave her the BIG IDEA to make a family visits to the museum more engaging and personal.

Mrs. Walsh directs these fabulous programs that cover everything from Greek art to Modern mazes, for one child or a hundred. How does she do it all? She doesn’t. It’s a team effort. With so many creative ideas, mazes, and hunts, it has to be! The whole Art Smart team is really fabulous. We always have fun. Because we love what we do. Making museums fun for families.
